About Tūtū Kā’ika

Tuku atu tuku mai te Reo me ona Tikanga o nga matua tupuna e nga wa katoa. It's all about sharing our unique language and culture with everyone, everyday. We are a busy W'ānau training in kapa haka for competition, shows and supporting local initiatives as well as teaching Maori performing arts, Te reo Māori, Mau rakau and running community events that support our aspirations for Aotearoa to share in.

Tuutuu kaaika is a Taranaki Based Club From humble beginnings
Tuutuu kaaika is a Taranaki based kapa haka group formed in 2009, placed 3rd in the 2010 Aotea regional's and journeyed for the first time to The Nationals 2011 Te Matatini o Te Rā, held at Waiōhika, Te Tairāwhiti. Tuutuu kaaika are at it again placing 4th in the 2014 Aotea regional's and will compete in the 2015 Te Matatini kapa haka nationals to be held in Christchurch.

Although Tuutuu kaaika strives for excellence in the realm of Kapa ‘aka Some of Tuutuu kaaika goals and aspirations since 2009 have been to place a greater emphasis on W’anau wellness, by way of helping staircase our w’anau into higher education ultimately to help create jobs opportunities for our blossoming Tuutuu kaaika community. We stand today in acknowledgement of those efforts. Each of our items express and celebrate our journey creating our very own Tuutuu kaaika tāngaMatua Clive Tongaaw'ikau
